Printworks Leisure Complex

Printworks is one of the popular entertainment venues in Manchester. It is home to 20 different avenues, which include the famous Odeon, Wagamama, Tige Tige, CAFE Rogue amongst others.

As the name suggests, was a very big publishing house. It was originally owned by the infamous Robert Maxwell, who was also an MP. Robert Maxwell came under a lot of pressue during his ownership of the Printworks, which was due his illegal way operating the business and the pension scam related to it.

Maxwell passed away in 1991 and the site later was redevloped into an entertainment venue. Printworks was also home to the glamorous Hard Rock Casino, which closed down in 2006.
